Job Summary

Ryder System is seeking a qualified Truck Driver CDL A Solo to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for safely driving a commercial vehicle and ensuring compliance with safety and DOT regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Drive a commercial vehicle and ensure compliance with safety and DOT regulations
  • Load and unload freight or assist in the loading/unloading of freight as required by the customer
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records and logs
  • Other tasks as assigned
Requirements
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Pass a Ryder drug test
  • Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
  • Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures

What We Offer
  • Trucks are 36 months or newer, with 24/7 roadside maintenance and company drivers fuel up the trucks at over 800 maintenance facilities nationwide

  • Route: regional, 1-2 nights/week
  • Tractor type: sleeper and day cabs
  • Trailer type: dry van 53'
