About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Athletic Trainer to provide top-notch athletic training services and administrative support for our outreach contracts in New York. As an Athletic Trainer, you will play a critical role in managing athlete care during events, documenting treatments, and coordinating with healthcare professionals.

Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary of $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a generous salary, we also offer exclusive access to complimentary Continuing Education credits, supervising physician standing orders, discounted CPR certification, and supportive leadership.


Job Description

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Athletic Training from a CAATE-approved program and completion of the BOC certification. Strong communication skills, flexibility, and adaptability are essential for this role, as the successful candidate will be required to adjust to fluid situations and work effectively under pressure.


  • Provide AT services for athletic events and competition
  • Coordinate, manage, and implement the medical and risk management of all athletes, inclusive of preventative care (taping, bracing, etc.) and emergency care (CPR, first aid, etc.)
  • Demonstrate speed, efficiency, and flexibility in the provisions of care, utilizing effective critical thinking skills
  • Document injury, illness, treatment, rehabilitation, etc., in adherence with JAG Athletic Training policy, JAG Athletic Training contracted site policy, and state of licensure professional practice standards
  • Utilize effective communication skills to involve athlete, family, and others as necessary and appropriate in plan of care (within HIPPA/FERPA guidelines)
  • Collaborate with other JAG professionals in programs such as Physical Therapy and refer for service when needed

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must possess a strong background in athletic training, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. You should also be licensed by the State of New York as an Athletic Trainer and hold current BLS certification.
