About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Bridge Inspection Engineer to join our team at Modjeski and Masters. As a Bridge Inspection Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and integrity of our nation's bridges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform hands-on condition inspections of major railroad and highway structures
  • Develop repair plans to address deficient conditions
  • Conduct construction engineering and inspection of bridge repairs
  • Work with our rope access team to inspect and repair bridges
  • Prepare inspection reports with recommendations for maintenance and repair
  • Develop and detail repair plans, specifications, and construction cost estimates
  • Monitor compliance with contract specifications and plans
  • Respond to bridge-related emergencies
Requirements
  • Minimum 4-year degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university
  • Valid EI certification or in the process of obtaining
  • Strong understanding of structural fundamentals
  • Excellent communication and technical writing skills
  • Ability to work at heights and in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CADD software
