Responsibilities:

  • Perform patient assessments and develop respiratory care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Administer various respiratory therapy procedures, including ventilator management, oxygen therapy, and aerosolized medication delivery.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in emergency response situations, including Code Blue and White responses.
  • Conduct chest film analysis, blood gas collection, and EKG analysis to inform patient care decisions.
  • Document patient information accurately and completely, maintaining high standards of record-keeping.
  • Assist with pulmonary function testing, bronchoscopy, and other advanced respiratory procedures as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest respiratory care techniques and technologies to provide the highest level of patient care.

Requirements:

  • Current RRT certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift, move, and position patients as needed, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
