Job Overview

Zobility is seeking a skilled Lathe Machinist to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining precision machinery to produce high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Machine Operation: Set up and operate precision manual and/or computerized machining centers according to standard work procedures.
  • Process Optimization: Adjust machine feed/spindle speeds and change tooling and cutters per machining specifications to ensure efficient production.
  • Quality Control: Inspect products using precision gauges, measuring instruments, and equipment to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Collaboration: Work with other business units and cells to meet customer demand and support the needs of the organization.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily and weekly checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Training and Development: Train and mentor new and/or less experienced operators on programs within their discipline.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in the Continuous Improvement process and safety-related activities to improve processes and reduce costs.
Requirements
  • Education: Typically requires a High School Diploma. In the absence of a High School diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Certification: Machine Operator Certification is required.
