Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Educator to join our team at Atlantic Health System. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and education to new mothers and infants postpartum in the hospital and outpatient settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide lactation consultation services to new mothers and infants postpartum in the hospital and assist with outpatient consults.
  • Facilitate breastfeeding support groups and teach breastfeeding classes prenatally.
  • Utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate the plan of care for patients served.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to promote evidence-based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.
  • Demonstrate and embody the PRIDE core values (Purpose, Respect, Innovation, Diversity & Inclusion, and Extraordinary Caring) in every aspect of the job.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field, or enrolled in a BSN program.
  • 2-3+ years of experience in Nursing or relevant area.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse and BLS certification required.
  • IBCLC certification and/or LCCE.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters degree in Nursing or related field.
  • Previous experience with teaching childbirth classes and prenatal education.
  • Previous experience with lactation consulting.
