Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our surgical team at Baylor Scott & White Health. As a Physician Assistant in Surgical Specialties, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our surgical services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and evaluate patients to determine the best course of treatment.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests to inform treatment decisions.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Counsel patients and families on medical conditions, treatment options, and health promotion.
  • Participate in all phases of perioperative patient management, including preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
