Medical Instrument Preparation Specialist

At Precision Dental Implants & Oral Surgery, we are seeking a highly skilled Medical Instrument Preparation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Sterilization Department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in our facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Clean and decontaminate medical instruments and equipment to the highest standards, utilizing your attention to detail and manual dexterity skills.
- Operate and maintain decontamination equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
- Prepare and package sterilized supplies for use in medical procedures, adhering to strict protocols and regulations.
- Conduct thorough examinations of instruments to guarantee their proper cleaning and sanitizing.
- Routinely inspect and report any issues with sterilization equipment to ensure seamless operations.
- Pack and organize equipment into instrument trays for use during medical procedures, demonstrating your ability to work efficiently and effectively.
- Deliver all necessary equipment and instruments to procedure rooms, prioritizing timely and accurate distribution.
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization procedures, sterilized items, equipment maintenance, and supplies, showcasing your organizational skills.
- Monitor inventory levels and supplies to prevent stockouts and optimize resource allocation.
- A High School diploma or equivalent is required; relevant experience and certification in Sterile Processing and Distribution are preferred.
This role requires a strong commitment to maintaining a clean and safe working environment, as well as excellent communication and teamwork skills. You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods while performing tasks.
