Grader Operator

Rock Solid Stabilization & Reclamation, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Grader Operator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining heavy equipment, specifically graders, to ensure high-quality results.

• Operate and maintain grader equipment, including CAT 140H, CAT 12M, John Deere 672G, and/or John Deere 670, safely and efficiently.
• Maintain precise measurements and cut and fill to project specifications.
• Trim road/surface tops to grade, shape and finish shoulders and slopes efficiently.
• Uphold Rock Solid's rigorous equipment maintenance standards.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations.
• Maintain clear and professional communication.
• Perform thorough pre and post-trip inspections and report any issues or malfunctions.
• Maintain clean, safe and operable equipment.
• Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing mobile applications to enter project data and manage documentation.
• Operate various equipment as required, including reclaimers, compactors, spreaders, and water trucks.

• Minimum of 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years fine grading experience required.
• Required to travel nationwide for various lengths of time with 3-week breaks.
• Operational experience of any/all of the following equipment is highly preferred: reclaimers, compactors, spreaders, and/or water trucks.
• Proven skills to understand grade stakes and knowledgeable use of GPS, laser guidance systems, sonar guidance systems are advantageous.
• Class A CDL preferred, must be obtained within first year employed.
• Union Operator credentials preferred.
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality projects on tight schedules.
• Inviolable and effective decision-making skills.
• Positive history of employment with no recent major citations or violations and verification of previous employment.
• Successfully pass pre-employment background check and drug testing requirements.
• Navigates quickly and adapts to changing schedules.
• Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
