Job Overview

Position: Medical Assistant

Location: Detroit, MI

Work Schedule: Day Shift (Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM)

Role Responsibilities:
  • Conduct initial patient screenings in accordance with established protocols.
  • Guide patients to examination areas, prepare them for assessments, and record vital signs.
  • Maintain accurate patient history and care documentation within the electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Prepare, administer, and log medications and immunizations.
  • Assist in setting up and facilitating examinations, procedures, and treatments.
  • Identify and react to emergencies; manage patient inquiries effectively.
  • Input orders for medications, radiology, and laboratory tests into the EHR.
  • Provide post-visit instructions and handle medication refill requests.
