Shop Foreman

MV Transportation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shop Foreman to oversee the maintenance operations of our fleet. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective maintenance of our vehicles, as well as managing a team of maintenance staff.

• Preventative Maintenance: Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and ensure the reliability of our fleet.
• Repair and Maintenance: Oversee the repair and maintenance of our vehicles, including heavy-duty diesel equipment, to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Team Management: Supervise and manage a team of maintenance staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
• Budget Management: Manage the maintenance program budget, ensuring that expenses are controlled and that resources are allocated effectively.
• Reporting: Prepare and submit regular reports on maintenance activities, including daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
• Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities for maintenance staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.

• CDL with Passenger Endorsement: Must have a valid Commercial Driver's License with a Passenger Endorsement.
• Leadership and Management: Must have strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to prioritize, implement, and manage work schedules, projects, and assignments.
• Technical Competence: Must have technical competence with heavy-duty diesel vehicle repair and preventative maintenance, including experience with air conditioning systems, transmissions, electrical diagnosis, emission control systems, and wheelchair lifts.
• Communication Skills: Must have excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff in written and oral formats.
• Computer Skills: Must have computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Outlook.

• Diesel Experience: Diesel experience preferred.
• ASE Certification: ASE certified truck or school bus preferred.
