Job Summary

The Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh is seeking a highly skilled Real Estate Portfolio Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Real Estate Division, you will be responsible for the management and maintenance of our real property portfolio, ensuring that it is utilized to generate revenue streams and support the long-term goals of the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the physical, financial, and legal condition of our real estate portfolio, ensuring that it is maintained to a high standard and in compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
  • Lease and License Management: Negotiate and manage mid- to long-term leases and license agreements, ensuring that they are in the best interest of the organization.
  • Revenue Generation: Identify and explore opportunities to utilize our real estate portfolio for revenue generation, working closely with our transaction team and other stakeholders.
  • Property Maintenance: Coordinate the maintenance of our real property portfolio, including managing contracts with service providers and ensuring that properties are maintained to a high standard.
  • Contract Management: Lead negotiations and manage all third-party property management contracts, ensuring that they are in the best interest of the organization.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with our Quality Control & Inspection Department, transaction team, and other stakeholders to ensure that our real property portfolio is maintained to the highest standards and that relevant information is communicated effectively.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business, Public Administration, Urban Planning, or a related field.
  • Experience: Five years of real estate, asset management, or development experience, with a strong understanding of real estate principles and practices.
  • Skills: Strong writing and communication skills, attention to detail, and expertise in Excel. Experience in property management, negotiating real estate transactions, and managing contracts is also required.

  • Master's Degree: A master's degree in a related field is preferred.
