About the Role

AWS is seeking an experienced software development engineer to join our Post-Quantum Cryptography team. As a member of this team, you will design and implement next-generation cryptographic libraries for use by AWS and our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement post-quantum cryptography for both internal and external customers.
  • Create simple APIs to access our cryptographic algorithms.
  • Work with a team of talented Software Development Engineers and Applied Scientists.
  • Be a committed technical leader who develops and mentors junior engineers.

About the Team

AWS Cryptography builds the services and tools to keep all of our customers' data secure. We develop critical software used by AWS service teams and customers, including the open source projects AWS-LC, s2n-tls, and Amazon Corretto Crypto Provider (ACCP).

Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Knowledge of and/or experience developing post-quantum cryptographic algorithms
  • Experience implementing cryptographic standards
  • Experience developing assembly-level optimizations
  • Experience developing for software libraries
  • Experience developing open-source software
