CDL Instructor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CDL Instructor to join our team at 160 Driving Academy.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for training and preparing students for their CDL exams, with a focus on safety and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in truck driving and experience in teaching and training.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead classroom and yard training sessions for CDL students
• Develop and implement training programs to meet the needs of students
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback and guidance as needed
• Ensure compliance with FMSCA and ASL guidelines
• Provide sign-language interpreter services as required

Requirements:

• Valid CDL Class A license with a minimum of 36 months verifiable tractor trailer driving experience
• Driver Training Instructor License is preferred
• Clean driving record with no more than 2 driving offenses or accidents in the past 2 years and no DUI in the past 10 years
• Physical ability to operate a motor vehicle
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
