Southern Tennessee Regional Health System - Lawrenceburg is seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will play a vital role in the diagnosis and treatment of patients by performing routine laboratory tests and analyzing results.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform common testing procedures and report test results
- Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment
- Conduct quality control testing to ensure accuracy and reliability of results
- Order and maintain supplies needed for laboratory tests
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent
- MLT (ASCP) certification or equivalent (AMT); or obtained within first year of employment
- One year experience in a medical laboratory preferred
Working Conditions
This is a per diem/PRN position, rotating weekends and various shifts. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
