Job Overview

The Culinary Service Associate will support the supervisor in food and meal preparation, manage cash transactions, and maintain accurate meal records. COMPENSATION: The hourly wage for this role ranges from $15.50 to $15.50, influenced by factors such as the applicant's skills and qualifications, relevant degrees and certifications, previous work experience, market data, and other pertinent considerations. Additional compensation may include bonuses or commissions where applicable. This represents Aramark's good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this position at the time of posting.

Upon hiring, the employee will be in an 'at-will position,' and Aramark reserves the right to adjust base salary (along with any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time and for any reason, including, but not limited to, individual performance, department/team performance, and market conditions.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare high-quality food and baked goods according to a designated menu
- Generate a daily report that verifies transactions
- Understand meal components and requirements
- Ensure proper and sanitary food storage
- Serve food in accordance with meal schedules and departmental policies
- Utilize and maintain kitchen equipment, particularly knives
- Timely preparation of various food items and beverages
- Enhance presentation with garnishments for customer satisfaction
- Assist in the thorough cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and cooking/serving equipment
- Comply with all food safety regulations regarding sanitation, food handling, and storage
- Follow the uniform policy
- Communicate with the Supervisor daily to accurately prepare the menu
- Monitor food temperature requirements
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace and storage area
- Clean and sanitize surfaces, steam tables, and other equipment
- Adhere to established cleanliness procedures to ensure a safe environment; duties include sweeping, mopping, and dishwashing
- Keep garbage collection areas and kitchen floors tidy and sanitary
- Perform additional duties as assigned, including tasks in other kitchen areas
- This position may involve physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking and standing. Uniforms and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.
