Travel Nurse Across America is seeking a dedicated travel Occupational Therapist for an exciting opportunity.

We are in search of qualified Occupational Therapists (OT) for an immediate travel assignment. Ideal candidates should possess at least 1 year of relevant experience. Please review the additional requirements below.

As an OT, your primary responsibilities will include assessing and formulating a care plan for patients who require assistance in enhancing, regaining, and developing essential daily living skills. You will be working with patients who are disabled, ill, or recovering from injuries in a clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

As an Occupational Therapist, you will be expected to:

  • Examine patients' medical histories, engage in discussions with them, and observe their performance of various tasks.
  • Assess a patient's condition and specific needs.
  • Create a tailored treatment plan that outlines clear objectives and the activities designed to help the patient achieve those goals.
  • Assist individuals with disabilities in performing daily tasks.
  • Evaluate a patient's living or working environment and suggest modifications based on their health requirements.
  • Provide education to patients' families and employers on accommodating and supporting the patient.
  • Recommend specialized equipment and guide patients on its usage.
  • Document and track patients' activities and progress for evaluations, billing, and communication with other healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation in compliance with state and insurance regulations.
Qualifications

Applicants must have a minimum of 1 year of experience, along with BLS and ASHA National Certification, and state-specific licensure.

Occupational Therapists should be capable of standing and walking for extended periods, as well as bending, leaning, or stooping without difficulty. A solid understanding of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology is essential.

Essential Certifications: BLS, NBCOT, 1 Year Experience
