Export Control Compliance: This role requires adherence to Export Control regulations, necessitating a "US Person" status as defined by 22 C.F.R. §.

Position Overview:
In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing and procuring aerospace fasteners and components. You will analyze data to assess the feasibility of purchasing products and establish pricing objectives. Keeping abreast of price trends and manufacturing processes is essential. You will engage with suppliers to evaluate their operations, determining factors that influence pricing while ensuring quality, reliability, and adherence to schedules. Responsibilities include reviewing proposals, negotiating prices, selecting or recommending suppliers, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve savings and inventory targets aligned with commodity and business strategies.
  • Conduct market research and establish long-term agreements to fulfill procurement needs.
  • Select suppliers, negotiate pricing, issue purchase orders, and manage delivery schedules.
  • Collaborate with the Sales department to address customer requirements effectively.
  • Engage in supply planning by assessing inventory levels and validating forecasts.
  • Prepare and negotiate supplier agreements to maximize savings opportunities.
  • Work with the Quality department to address issues related to defective goods.
  • Confirm purchase order details and ensure accuracy in documentation.
  • Maintain awareness of departmental objectives and the impact of purchasing decisions.
  • Provide expertise in business processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Basic Qualifications:
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Intermediate analytical abilities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Basic presentation skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of commodities and products.
  • Experience with cost modeling and understanding cost drivers.
  • General knowledge of aerospace compliance and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 6-8 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • APICS Certified in Production & Inventory Management (CPIM) is a plus.
Relocation: Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Candidates must reside in the local area or relocate at their own expense.
