Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cardiac Interventional Nurse to join our team at Emory Healthcare. As a key member of our interventional cardiology team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our clinical programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to patients undergoing cardiac interventions, including coronary angiograms, angioplasties, and stent placements.
  • Collaborate with the interventional cardiology team to develop and implement patient care plans, including medication management and post-procedure care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and reduce complications.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical policies and procedures, including those related to cardiac interventions and patient safety.
  • Provide education and training to patients, families, and healthcare staff on cardiac interventions and related topics.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current RN license in the state of Georgia.
  • Minimum of 12 months of recent nursing experience in a cardiac or critical care setting.
  • Experience with cardiac interventions, including coronary angiograms, angioplasties, and stent placements.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field.
  • Experience with cardiac catheterization laboratory procedures and equipment.
  • Certification in cardiac catheterization laboratory or related field.
