About the Role:

Caterpillar is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate 30-ton or larger overhead cranes and jib cranes to move materials and equipment.
  • Hitch and unhitch materials safely and properly, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Locate, identify, receive, load, move, and store materials, ensuring accurate inventory management.
  • Select and inspect proper equipment, including chains, clevises, hooks, and other lifting gear.
  • Raise, lower, roll, move, and place loads with precision and care.
  • Follow documented procedures and standard work to perform safe operations, minimizing risk and ensuring compliance.
  • Operate power lift trucks as required, demonstrating expertise in heavy equipment operation.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of two years of experience operating 30-ton or larger overhead cranes or jib cranes.
  • Successful completion of overhead crane and other operator required training.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to work well individually and in a team environment, fostering a culture of collaboration and open communication.
  • Ability to work overtime to support production demands, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
