Job Overview
The Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center, a world-class Olympic site, is seeking an accomplished Head of Sales to spearhead revenue growth initiatives. As a member of our executive team, you will define and execute the sales strategy, driving ambitious revenue targets.
About Our Campus
We offer 155 acres of world-class athletic facilities, housing, and dining, providing a distraction-free environment ideal for focus and preparation. We have hosted various teams and universities, including San Diego State, Oklahoma, and Stanford.
Your Role
You will lead revenue generation initiatives, build and mentor a high-performing sales team, and foster strategic relationships to ensure sustainable growth. You will work cross-functionally to create seamless transitions from sales to client services, enhancing the customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with company goals, collaborating with the President, CFO, and VP of Client Relations.
- Inspire and lead a dynamic sales team, setting high standards for performance, accountability, and professional growth.
- Maintain an updated sales pipeline and communicate revenue forecasts to the Executive Team and Board.
- Drive business growth across multiple customer segments, leveraging team efforts and personal sales expertise to meet and exceed company revenue objectives.
- Establish a data-driven sales cadence, optimizing outreach methods, timing, and closing techniques to improve conversion rates.
- Partner with Client Services and Operations to ensure a seamless handoff from sales to account management, maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction.
- Foster a positive, goal-oriented sales culture that celebrates individual, team, and company achievements.
Requirements
- A BS/BA Degree in Business, Marketing, Sports Management, or Hospitality.
- 5+ years' experience leading an organization with revenue exceeding $10M annually.
- Direct sales and management experience with a demonstrated background of hitting both a personal and team goal.
- Proven track record of growing revenue through customer development, marketing, branding, and partnerships.
- Proficiency in CRM systems.
- Data-driven decision orientation.
- Inspirational leadership style and hands-on approach.
- Excellent interpersonal and networking skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Compensation
$160,000-$180,000 base salary, plus bonus structure based on achieving revenue and organizational goals. Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401k with employer match.
