Job Overview

Position: CNC Brake Press Technician

Work Schedule: Days 7am-3:30pm

Compensation: $20 to $22 per hour

OBJECTIVE:

The primary role involves shaping sheet metal through the programming, setup, and operation of a brake press (Amada) while executing various other metal fabrication tasks to ensure the delivery of high-quality products.

Maintain adherence to company policies and engage positively with all team members.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: (Minimum qualifications and experience)

Proficiency in programming, safely setting up, and operating both CNC and conventional brake presses to shape different types of sheet metal according to specified standards with minimal supervision.

Experience with additional metalworking machinery such as drill presses, chop saws, grinders, buffers, strippit, and time savers is preferred.

Capability to perform various inspection tasks using tools like tape measures, calipers, and protractors, along with the ability to read and interpret blueprints, finish specifications, bills of materials, routers, and work instructions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: (Essential functions that must be met by an employee; reasonable accommodations may be provided for individuals with disabilities.)

While executing the responsibilities of this position, the employee is frequently required to stand and walk. Occasionally, the employee may need to sit, use hands for handling or feeling, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and communicate verbally. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this role include close vision.
