Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate heavy machinery to excavate, transport, load, and grade various materials including earth, rock, and gravel.
  • Engage in diverse activities such as road construction, fine grading, finishing, sloping, banking, backfilling, demolition, ditching, loading, excavating, stockpiling, and road maintenance.
  • Ensure safe and proficient operation of equipment.
  • Conduct necessary safety inspections and maintain documentation.
  • Uphold a clean and secure job site.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.

Experience Requirements

  • Prior experience in construction is essential, with a preference for heavy construction.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Experience with Batch Plants is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Candidates should possess the ability to:

  • Interpret engineering drawings.
  • Work safely and effectively in outdoor environments under varying weather conditions.
  • Follow directives and adhere to established standards.
  • Accurately assess distances and slopes.
  • Make informed decisions based on established criteria.

Physically, candidates must be capable of:

  • Bending, stooping, and crouching.
  • Utilizing hands, arms, and legs fully.
  • Seeing clearly (with or without correction).
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds, with frequent lifting and carrying of items weighing up to 25 pounds.
