Job Description

CNC Machinist (Setup / Operator)

Belden Manufacturing is seeking a skilled CNC Setup / Operator to join our team in advanced manufacturing.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC turning centers and be proficient in G-Code programming. In this role, you will work closely with experienced machinists to manufacture universal joints and drive shafts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute machining operations by studying work orders, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Program and set up CNC turning centers, including multi-spindle lathes.
  • Load and verify settings, ensuring accurate measurements and adherence to international standards.
  • Maintain equipment and tools, completing preventive maintenance requirements and troubleshooting malfunctions.
  • Document actions and maintain quality logs.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience on CNC turning centers.
  • Proficiency in G-Code programming and GD&T.
  • Strong conceptual skills and process improvement abilities.
  • Excellent verbal communication and functional technical skills.

Machines and technologies used:

  • CNC Lathe (2-4 axis) (Dmg Mori Seiki)
  • CNC Swiss Lathe (Star)
  • CNC Lathe (5+ axis)

Salary: $21 - $24 / hr
