About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join our team at West Star Aviation. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient maintenance of our aircraft.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems, including removal and installation of panels and components, troubleshooting and problem solving aircraft system/component issues, and de-fueling aircraft.
  • Engine removal/installations, operating ground support equipment, inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components, and aircraft movement and assistance in performance runs/taxiing.
  • Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment, and tooling, and basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
Requirements
  • A High school diploma or equivalent, and Airframe and Powerplant License are required.
  • A valid driver's license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.
  • Technician I: 0-2 years' experience as an A P mechanic, Technician II: 2-5 years' experience as an A P mechanic, and Technician III: 5+ years' experience as an A P mechanic.
Working Conditions

The majority of work will be accomplished in a heated hangar, with work outside during aircraft runs and varied positions in and around the aircraft.

Compensation

The hourly rate for a Tech. I ranges from $26-$30, Tech II $29-$33, and Tech III $33-$39. Additional compensation in the form of a shift differential is provided if the employee is assigned to an alternate shift.
