Job Title: Senior Project Engineer

About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Mission System Software Integrated Product Team (IPT), you will be responsible for technical execution, leadership, guidance, and oversight of our programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop open and scalable software solutions, adhering to government open system standards and modern development tools and processes.
  • Provide technical direction within the IPT, working closely with the Program Manager, Airborne IPT Chief Engineer, and other Chief Engineers.
  • Ensure program and company processes are adhered to, ensuring consistency, quality, and safety across the technical team.
  • Build and maintain customer technical relationships with key customer representatives and major suppliers.
  • Assist in building the team, including hiring and managing direct reports, and overseeing their program roles and career development.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's of Science degree in a related field of study.
  • 12 or more years of technical experience, with relevant experience considered in lieu of required education.
  • Expert knowledge of engineering principles and practice.
  • Prior experience leading a team of engineers and programs, with ability to recruit, assign, direct, and evaluate work, and oversee career development and succession planning.
  • Extensive experience leading large-scale development teams on mission system software development programs for military systems using Agile and DevSecOps processes and tools.
  • Experience with DOD open system standards, such as MOSA, FACE, OMS, and SOSA, as well as Gov't development platforms like PlatformOne.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience designing complex RF command and control functions.
  • Experience with NC3 mission systems.
  • Experience with technical risk identification and management approaches and processes.
  • Ability to work with team members distributed across multiple sites.
