About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hospital Cook to join our team at PAM Health. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food for patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Production: Prepare and cook food and desserts for patients, cafeteria, and special catering.
  • Menu Planning: Review menus daily and communicate with other cooks regarding supplies and preparation of ingredients.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with checking food deliveries and processing invoices.
  • Sanitation and Safety: Inspect and assure that all items are accounted for, and maintain sanitation in production area.
  • Leadership: Provide leadership in the department in the absence of the Food Service Team Leader/Cook, consulting with the Clinical Dietitian as needed.
Requirements
  • Education and Training: High School education or GED preferred with the ability to read and write English.
  • Experience: Five years commercial food preparation experience desired.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Be courteous and cooperative with customers, be able to take criticism, and be willing to accept responsibility and use good judgment when guidance is not readily available.
