We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Echo Technician to join our team at Methodist Hospital Northeast. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Perform echocardiograms, TEEs, carotid imaging, and other related examinations according to established hospital standards and practices.
- Apply technical knowledge of diagnostic non-invasive cardiac imaging equipment operation, including proficiency in basic troubleshooting, equipment cleaning, storage, and maintenance.
- Accurately document patient information in accordance with hospital policies and standards.
- Assist with head-up tilt table testing and patient preparation, including validating patient NPO status, transporting patients, and placing electrodes and blood pressure cuffs.
- Maintain patient reports and perform database and operating system backup, as well as high-level disinfection using established policies and procedures.
- Completion of an Associate's Degree or two-year patient-care related allied health education program, and one year of full-time clinical ultrasound/vascular ultrasound experience.
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) and American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) certification in Adult (RDCS-AE), Fetal (RDCS-FE), and/or Pediatric (RDCS-PE) echocardiography.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain accurate records.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Methodist Hospital Northeast is a 232-bed, full-service hospital that offers a range of medical services, including elective spine surgeries and advanced brain and spine care. We are accredited by the American College of Cardiology as an Accredited Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI and have received the Lifeline Bronze Receiving Quality Achievement Award.
