Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Food Service Worker I-Substitute to join our team at San Diego Unified School District. As a key member of our Food and Nutrition Services team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our cafeteria services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and serving of food to students and staff
- Clean and maintain cafeteria utensils, equipment, and work spaces
- Support the team in maintaining a clean and safe food service environment
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient and effective food service operations
Requirements:
- Ability to read, write, and understand English language
- Learn methods of quantity food preparation and service
- Obtain a California Food Handler's Card (on-line course not allowed)
- Provide a current Tuberculosis Skin test
- Provide documents that show proof of identity and eligibility to work in the US
Working Conditions:
This is a part-time position, working approximately 2 hours per day. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, interacting with students, staff, and colleagues.
