This role involves consistently delivering high-quality spray polyurethane foam insulation applications in various settings. The technician will also be responsible for diagnosing and rectifying spray foam-related challenges while mentoring less experienced installers. Your success will hinge on the overall performance of your team in terms of quality, safety, and efficiency, making it essential to support your colleagues in achieving their best work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety Compliance: Adheres to all safety regulations in line with federal, state, and local health and safety laws. Ensures safe transportation of equipment to job sites. Familiarity with spray polyurethane foam safety standards is required, and obtaining CPI Certification within the initial employment period is expected.
  • Operational Excellence: Executes the removal and installation of spray polyurethane foam according to job specifications. Follows established procedures for equipment setup and operation, ensuring high-quality outcomes while maintaining efficiency. Possesses a comprehensive understanding of various insulation methods (blown-in, spray foam, and batt) and consistently conducts quality assessments.
  • Technical Proficiency: Identifies and resolves spray foam issues. Knowledgeable in the disassembly and cleaning of spray foam equipment, as well as troubleshooting chemical-related problems.
  • Client Interaction: Engages professionally with clients, maintaining a polished appearance and ensuring thorough cleanup of the job site upon completion.
  • Continuous Improvement: Focuses on enhancing customer service, quality, efficiency, and safety. Provides guidance and training to junior team members and communicates any challenges to the Operations Manager. Performs additional related tasks as necessary.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong time management abilities.
  • Capability to troubleshoot, operate, and maintain equipment effectively.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • CPI Certification must be acquired within the first 90 days of employment.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Spray Polyurethane Foam installation is required, with a preference for experience in both new construction and retrofit projects.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to engage in prolonged periods of walking, standing, stooping, climbing, kneeling, and crawling.
  • Work environment may involve exposure to high temperatures, confined spaces, dust, hazardous materials, and heights.
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.
