Overview:
The Radiology Technologist will proficiently operate across multiple imaging modalities within a healthcare facility, ensuring high-quality diagnostic imaging services.
This role encompasses various techniques including MRI, CT, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, and Mammography, aimed at delivering precise diagnostic examinations and potential interventional procedures.
The technologist will execute a range of technical tasks requiring independent judgment and will be accountable for specific areas or procedures as designated.
Key Responsibilities:
- Uphold the standards of the OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
- Exhibit proficiency in diverse diagnostic procedures across multiple modalities.
- After completing imaging procedures, ensure the computer systems are programmed correctly to finalize exams and securely store all scan data for future reference.
- Effectively coordinate and prioritize tasks throughout the workday to maintain exceptional patient care and service continuity.
- Accurately code and enter all charges into the billing system.
- Demonstrate competence with all age demographics to guarantee the proper execution of studies.
- Adhere to all policies, procedures, and standards as mandated by regulatory bodies, the healthcare institution, and other governing entities.
- Conduct all responsibilities in a manner that safeguards patient confidentiality and refrains from disclosing any sensitive information.
- Align actions with the core values of CHRISTUS Health.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Must be a graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program or an equivalent recognized institution. ARRT certification, RT (R), or other relevant registries as per scope of practice is required.
Must hold or be eligible for registration in a secondary modality and fulfill the registration requirements within two years of starting in that modality.
A minimum of one (1) year of experience in a clinical or hospital environment is preferred, with three (3) years in a clinical imaging setting being highly desirable. Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) is mandatory.Current state licensure and BLS certification (American Heart Association) are required.
