Job Summary
Air Methods is seeking an experienced Helicopter Pilot to join our team in providing air medical transport services. As a member of our flight crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe transportation of medical crew and patients to receiving hospitals within our operational area.
Responsibilities:
- Flight Operations: Operate Air Methods aircraft in a safe and legal manner, completing pre-flight checks and ensuring the aircraft is airworthy.
- Medical Transport: Transport medical crew and patients to receiving hospitals, prioritizing safety and efficiency.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain thorough knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR), Aeronautical Information Manual (AIM), and Air Methods policies and procedures.
- Communication: Maintain positive interpersonal relationships with colleagues, EMS representatives, hospitals, and the public.
Requirements:
- Education: Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, with two to five years of related experience and/or training.
- Certifications: Instrument rating, Commercial single-engine land, and First or Second Class FAA Medical certificate.
- Experience: 2000 total flight hours, with a minimum of 1500 flight hours in category, and 1000 hours of rotor wing turbine experience.
