Job Description

This role will be located in Melbourne, FL. The Communications Engineer will be responsible for integrating airborne communications systems and components, enabling real-time coordination and reliable communication between ground, air, space, and naval forces.

The successful candidate will design, analyze, configure, test, document, and troubleshoot communications systems. They will also collaborate with engineers and program stakeholders to integrate voice, encryption, and infrastructure subsystems to meet platform mission objectives.

In addition, the candidate will perform informal and formal testing of subsystem requirements, demonstrate good leadership skills, and understand the scope of the work and its impact on other teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering. Alternatively, you may hold a Master's degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university and 3 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering, or a Ph.D. with 0 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering.

You must also have an active DoD Secret clearance that is in-scope (granted or renewed within the last 6 years). Additionally, you should be able to obtain Top Secret clearance (required to start).

Experience with integration of COTS electronics into military systems, system modeling and requirements management tools (Cameo, DOORS, Rhapsody, etc.), developing/maturing requirements, and tracing requirements through various levels is highly desirable.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is $92,600 - $139,000, depending on experience. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
