Licensed Vocational Nurse

Mid Coast Medical Clinic is seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team. As an LVN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.
Responsibilities:- Perform all clinic nursing functions, including laboratory procedures and administrative duties as requested by the supervisor.
- Assist physicians and physician assistants with patient care, including chaperoning, performing EKGs, administering injections, and performing CPR.
- Obtain blood, urine, and other patient specimens and prepare them for in-house clinic laboratory testing or shipment to the Mid Coast Medical Center Central laboratory.
- Order and stock medical and laboratory supplies, maintain sample medications, and dispose of expired medications.
- Assume responsibility and be self-motivated, performing other related duties as assigned.
- Possess a valid Texas State nursing license and graduation from an approved LVN program.
- Communicative skills necessary to understand medical terminology, procedures, and orders.
- Experience with ImmTrac and Immunization (Children's Vaccines) preferred.
- Must be flexible and available during clinic hours, Monday through Saturday.
- Exposure to sick patients, equipment, and staff noise and interruption.
- Maintain a professional appearance and attitude, understanding and honoring patient confidentiality.
