Position Overview
The Dining Services Leader is responsible for providing exceptional dining experiences with a focus on hospitality, adhering to all relevant regulations and the standards set by Century Park. This role reports directly to the Dining Services Director or Dining Room Supervisor. The Dining Services Leader also plays a crucial role in mentoring and training new dining staff.
Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and prior experience in a healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership Duties:
- Mentors and trains new dining staff in accordance with Century Park standards.
- Assists in managing meal counts and ticketing processes.
Server Responsibilities:
- Supports the setup of the dining area alongside other servers.
- Assists with tasks in the dishwashing area.
- Participates in pre-meal menu review meetings.
- Handles duties at assigned stations, such as beverages and salad bars.
- Ensures completion of assigned cleaning and preparation tasks.
- Welcomes residents and guests in a friendly manner.
- Guides residents in their food selections.
- Monitors beverage refills to ensure timely service.
- Delivers meals using appropriate serving techniques.
- Clears and resets tables as necessary during service.
- Handles soiled dishes and linens, ensuring proper disposal.
- Prepares dining areas for subsequent meals.
- Maintains cleanliness and safety in the dining environment.
- Prepares for upcoming meals by cleaning tables, chairs, and equipment.
