Sovah Health - Martinsville is seeking a skilled CT Technologist WEO to join our diagnostic imaging team. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality computed tomography imaging services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Review patient medical history and physician's orders to ensure accurate and effective imaging procedures.
- Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure their understanding and cooperation.
- Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications as necessary, within the scope of practice.
- Monitor patient condition continually and report/respond to changes in status as appropriate.
- Prepare equipment and supplies for imaging procedures.
- Implement safety standards and perform quality control procedures on equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions as necessary.
- Position patients and perform imaging procedures.
- Analyze imaging results and identify issues with image quality.
- Take appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patients and repeating procedures.
- Enter, transmit, and report scan results.
- Graduate of an educational program in Radiologic Technology.
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Full range of motion of upper and lower extremities.
- Moving and/or lifting patients and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
- Corrected vision and hearing within normal ranges.
- Standing and/or walking for extensive periods.
- Working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
- Potential for exposure to communicable disease and/or body fluid.
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, Advanced certification in Computed Tomography is preferred.
- AHA BLS required.
- Minimum of one year experience as a Radiologic Technologist in Diagnostic Radiology preferred. Previous CT experience preferred.
