Description

At Catholic Charities, we are seeking a highly skilled FP&A Senior Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for providing insightful business and performance analysis to our Senior Leadership team. Your expertise will play a critical role in driving business decisions and ensuring the financial success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in facilitating the preparation and review of annual operating budgets, monthly forecasts, reporting, and monthly variance analysis.
  • Conduct periodic budget reviews with programs to identify risks and develop proactive solutions.
  • Perform a variety of ad-hoc financial analysis as requested by management.
  • Perform budgeting and forecasting of expenditures and revenues to ensure sufficient cash flow and reserves.


Accounting Responsibilities

  • Perform complex accounting duties in the preparation of financial documents, records, and reports.
  • Preparation and posting of journal entries, including reclassification, monthly recurring, and other journal entries.
  • Assist in the year-end closing process and prepare audit schedules.
  • Examine accounting data for accuracy, appropriateness, and documentation.
  • Assist program staff in interpreting laws, rules, and regulations, and clarifying procedures.
  • Assist in the development of new procedures as needed.
  • Maintain and expand knowledge of developments in the grant/contract administration and finance areas and ensure that new developments and governmental requirements are incorporated in agency planning and operations.


Requirements

  • Demonstrated competence in the use of MS Office applications, particularly MS Excel, for spreadsheets, statistical analysis, graphics, and decision support.
  • Able to analyze and interpret financial data by using spreadsheets, databases, and modeling applications.
  • Knowledge of accounting and budgeting processes.
  • Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Must possess high initiative and be detail-oriented.


Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; preferably in business administration, accounting, or related field; and a minimum of five years related work experience.

Compensation and Benefits

$75,000 - $90,000 - DOE

Schedule: This is a Full-time, 40 hours per week
