Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team in Downey, California.

Job Summary:

As a Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to expectant mothers and their families. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to expectant mothers and their families, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care that reflect the unique needs of each patient.
  • Monitor patients' progress and revise plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care.
  • Participate in departmental performance improvement activities to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements:
  • One year of recent experience in Labor and Delivery or successful completion of a KP L&D course.
  • Registered Nurse License (California)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program
  • Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certificate within 12 months of hire
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support
  • Basic Life Support
