Position Summary
The Facility Maintenance Technician is tasked with ensuring the cleanliness and functionality of the facility through a variety of maintenance activities, including but not limited to plumbing, carpentry, landscaping, and painting. The responsibilities outlined below are subject to change based on the needs of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Support existing facility personnel with various projects across different locations.
- Maintain and clean shared spaces within the facility, such as break rooms, restrooms, storage areas, and warehouses.
- Cleaning duties encompass dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and painting.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance tasks.
- Execute heavy cleaning assignments and special projects as required.
- Adhere to all health and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with other departments as directed.
- Perform additional maintenance tasks as needed.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Understanding of the hazards associated with cleaning chemicals and supplies.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and adhere to established procedures.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience.
- Familiarity with the use of dollies, pallet jacks, and forklifts.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crawl, sit, and perform repetitive hand movements to operate tools and machinery.
- Willingness to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as necessary.
Work is conducted both indoors and outdoors, with regular exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and equipment operations.
Compensation
Starting pay is set at a minimum of $18 per hour, with adjustments based on experience.
