Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to assist in the upkeep and maintenance of our physical plant, including buildings, grounds, and engineering systems. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and comfort of our residents and staff.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the maintenance, cleanliness, and upkeep of the physical plant, including buildings, grounds, and engineering systems.
  • Respond to maintenance work orders in a timely manner.
  • Use the Maintenance Schedule to assist with continuous maintenance of all systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical.
  • Assist with room turnover and housekeeping duties.
  • Ensure outside grounds are clean and free from debris, including porch areas and courtyards.
  • Assist in the improvement and repair of general building and grounds.
  • Follow daily work plan outlined by supervisor.
  • Work in a clean, sanitary, safe, and organized manner, abiding by all health and safety regulations.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • General knowledge of systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical.
Physical Requirements
  • Standing (over 2/3), walking (over 2/3), using hands to finger, handle or feel (over 2/3), reach with hands and arms (over 2/3), climb and balance (1/3), stoop, kneel (1/2-2/3), talk or hear (over 2/3), taste or smell (under 1/3).
  • Lifting up to 10 pounds (1/3- 2/3), Up to 25 pounds (2/3); Up to 50 pounds (under 1/2).
