Pallet Sorter Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Pallet Sorter to join our team at C&S Wholesale Grocers, LLC. As a Pallet Sorter, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient sorting and processing of returned packaging materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sort through returned packaging materials and move them to their designated areas in the warehouse
  • Unload returned trailer-truck cargo holds of pallets, totes, and cardboard bales
  • Sort pallets, totes, and cardboard bales according to truck, color, and destination
  • Record data regarding the amount and type of returned packaging materials
  • Load packaging onto appropriate trucks according to vendor requirements
  • Clean the work area at the end of each shift

Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 75 lbs while bending, stooping, crouching, twisting, and standing for up to 10 hours
  • Relevant experience (0-2 years)
  • Attendance, General Equivalency Diploma - General Studies, High School Diploma - General Studies, Initiative, Productivity, Quality, Safety, Values

Working Conditions:

This role requires working in a freezer (-20F to 0F), perishable warehouse (28F to 60F), and grocery warehouse (50F to 90F) environment.
