Powers Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at Community Hospital in Munster, IN.

The PACU is a multidisciplinary department that provides 24-hour/day RN coverage, available via scheduled and/or on-call personnel. We care for patients of all ages who have received any type of anesthesia, with the exception of neonates and immediate post-operative open heart patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement, direct, communicate, and document the nursing process.
  • Provide a safe environment for patients, visitors, and associates.
  • Practice in accordance with current established standards of care, the Nurse Practice Act, and Community Healthcare System policies and procedures.
  • Support the mission and philosophy of CHS by providing the highest quality care.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current professional licensure by the State of Indiana Health Professions Bureau.
  • BSN preferred.
  • Obtains and maintains current certification as required in specialty areas.
  • Obtains and maintains current CPR.
