About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Merchandise Associate to join our team at TJ Maxx. As a Merchandise Associate, you will play a key role in delivering an exceptional customer experience by engaging with customers, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and adhering to operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with customers, responding to their needs, and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment by adhering to visual merchandising standards, recovering the sales floor, and participating in store recovery as needed.
  • Process customer purchases and returns accurately and efficiently, while providing a positive experience for each customer.
  • Promote credit and loyalty programs to customers, and maintain a thorough understanding of store policies and procedures.
  • Support and participate in store shrink reduction goals and programs, and maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and colleagues.
Requirements
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and respond to changing priorities.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule to support business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.
