Job Overview

Vankirk Electric, a prominent national electrical contractor, excels in all aspects of multi-family electrical construction. Our projects vary significantly, encompassing everything from garden-style complexes with 100 units to high-rise developments featuring up to 800 units.

We are currently seeking a dedicated full-time estimator to provide precise cost evaluations for projects in their initial phases of development utilizing Bluebeam software.

Comprehensive training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze plans and specifications in both digital and physical formats.

• Develop a foundational understanding of estimating practices.

• Utilize MS Excel for data management and analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in engineering, construction management, building science, mathematics, or a related discipline.

• Familiarity with estimating software such as Stack, Accubid, ConEst, Esticom, or McCormick is advantageous.

Essential Skills

• Proficient computer skills, particularly in MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS Word.

• Experience with Bluebeam is beneficial but not mandatory.

• Strong time management abilities.

• Excellent mathematical skills.

• Strong analytical capabilities.

• Exceptional attention to detail.

• Ability to accurately interpret blueprints.

• Effective problem-solving skills.
