We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Care Representative to join our team at Virginia Hospital Center. Key Responsibilities- Schedule and coordinate patient appointments, procedures, and tests
- Register patients, collect demographic and insurance information, and verify patient identities
- Answer and direct phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
- Coordinate with healthcare providers, nurses, and other staff members to ensure seamless patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories, test results, and treatment plans
- Process and manage patient payments, including copays, deductibles, and insurance claims
- Assist with data entry, reporting, and other administrative tasks as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
- 2+ years of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records (EMRs)
