Job Summary

Interstate Cleaning Corporation is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeping Crew Member to join our team. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of shopping malls and major retail department stores.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain entrances, restrooms, vinyl, stone, and other hard floor surfaces, carpet, and Food Court areas.
  • Perform thorough cleaning and restock restrooms, including dusting, wiping, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and using various machines to perform cleaning work.
  • Operate a diesel-fired hot water pressure washer to clean sidewalks and entrance aprons, using all proper safety precautions and protective equipment.
  • Patrol malls on foot, looking for spills and other hazards to shoppers, store employees, and mall staff, and clean up wet or dry spills as needed.
  • Wipe down mall common area furniture, mall entrance doors, and windows, and scrape up gum from flooring surfaces and sidewalks.
  • Perform touch-up cleaning and restock restrooms, and port Food Court tables and chairs.
  • Remove trays to designated areas and wash them using commercial tray washing equipment or by hand in a 3-compartment sink.
  • Empty common area trash receptacles into large wheeled carts and move trash to designated trash compactor areas, and load and operate trash compactor machinery.
  • Remove cardboard from service corridors using large wheeled carts and move trash to designated cardboard compactor areas, and load and operate cardboard compactor machinery.
  • Perform other cleaning tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.
  • Have reliable transportation.
  • Be willing to work weekends.
  • Pass a background check.
