About the Position

We are seeking a skilled Part-Time Intake Specialist to join our team at Chicago Public Schools. As an Intake Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and effective handling of allegations reported to the Office of Student Protections and Title IX/Equal Opportunity Compliance Office (OSP/EOCO).

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and process new complaints of sexual misconduct, biased-based harm, or other categories that fall within the scope of the Office of Student Protections, Title IX, and Equal Opportunity Employment Office.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of sexual misconduct categories, investigation classifications, and definitions as defined by the OSP Procedure Manual.
  • Communicate effectively with students, school staff, parents, and other stakeholders to gather information and document interactions.
  • Collaborate with Student Protections Coordinators or Student Protection Specialists to ensure prompt and effective handling of cases.
Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent; a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
  • At least two years of experience in a high-volume environment, preferably in a call center or hotline setting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Benefits and Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this position is $50,000 - $70,000, depending on experience. Additionally, Chicago Public Schools offers a comprehensive benefits package to support the well-being of its employees.
