Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled UPS Battery Maintenance Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Operations Services team, you will be responsible for maintaining critical equipment in support of providing best-in-class availability for our data center customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply preventative maintenance testing techniques in support of maintaining UPS batteries across our fleet of data centers.
  • Act as an ambassador for safety within the team and to promote safe working across the site.
  • Remain cognizant of and act in compliance with all security protocols.
  • Interact with engineers, technicians, project managers, and management on a daily basis.
  • Work with engineers to develop detailed and creative solutions to complex problems, while keeping a watchful eye on timelines and costs.
  • Develop and maintain a good working relationship across all levels in the organization.
  • Ensure consistency in deployed configurations and track exceptions for follow-up.
  • Execute predictive and preventive maintenance programs.
  • Provide support for LSE, weather events, planned, and unplanned outages.
  • Provide cross-functional support for ATS and Non-destructive testing teams.
Requirements
  • 1+ years of data center or mission-critical facilities experience OR Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Physics, or a relevant technical discipline from an accredited institution, coupled with military or trade school training.
  • Demonstrated expertise in leading and managing operations of mission-critical facilities, requiring in-depth knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
  • Substantial work experience in a critical environment, preferably with data center operations exposure.
  • Proficiency in identifying safety concerns and maintaining a secure work environment in compliance with NFPA 70E guidelines.
