Job Title: Cardiovascular Operating Room Nurse

Abrazo West Campus is seeking a skilled and dedicated Cardiovascular Operating Room Nurse to join our team. As a CVOR Nurse, you will be responsible for circulating in the operating room and assisting physicians with advanced tasks or equipment during surgical procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare for surgical procedures by completing assessment of the patient and reviewing patient chart, diagnostics, and labs.
  • Formulate and initiate plan of care based on patient specific needs and medical plan of care.
  • Prepare for surgical procedure by ensuring all appropriate supplies and instruments are available and room set up is appropriate.
  • Document surgical procedure in the patient record.
  • Ensure that all surgeon preference cards are accurate.
  • Assist with OR turnover between cases.
  • Participate in or lead the training and orientation of surgical staff and students, as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Current, valid RN license in the state of practice.
  • BLS certification.
  • ACLS certification.
  • One year of operating room experience in the acute care setting.
  • Preferred experience: 1 year in CVOR setting.
