Job Title: Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team at Developmental Occupational Therapy. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping children and families achieve their full potential.

Job Summary:

The Occupational Therapist will work with children and families to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that promote physical, emotional, and cognitive development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in occupational therapy and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess and develop individualized treatment plans for children and families
  • Provide occupational therapy services in a variety of settings, including clinics, schools, and homes
  • Collaborate with other professionals, including speech therapists and psychologists, to ensure comprehensive care
  • Document and maintain accurate records of patient progress and treatment plans
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on best practices and new developments in the field
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Current California Occupational Therapy License
  • Valid California driver's license (if traveling between work sites)
  • Ability to navigate between worksites
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary range: $75,000 to $150,000 per year
  • Total compensation package range: $87,588 to $166,177 per year

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Roles and responsibilities will vary based on setting and assignment
  • School-based may include but are not limited to: assessment and provision of services as outlined in IEP, collaboration with other professionals and families, caseload management, supervision of COTA (if qualified), service tracking/required billing, data collection, IEP attendance
  • Clinic-based may include but are not limited to: assessment, report writing, provision of therapeutic services, data collection, necessary record keeping, insurance/billing, parent/caretaker training, and COTA supervision (if qualified)
  • Feeding Specialty
  • Attend staff meetings and mandatory trainings when needed
  • Supervision of fieldwork students

Education/Credential/Licenses:
  • Successful completion of an accredited Masters program in Occupational Therapy
